Course objective |

Students successfuly completing this course are expected to: Learn basic characteristics of transmission lines. Understand standing wave forms and measure VSWR. Measure power, attenuation, and phase constant. Determine the cut-off frequency in waveguides. Measure impedance. |

Measure incident, reflected and dissipated power in transmission lines and waveguides. Use the simulation programs for transmission lines and waveguides. Understand the application of impedance matching techniques. Measure and determine the impedance and scattering matrices. Understand the maximum power transfer. |
