Engineering Faculty Graduation Projects Competition: Our Students’ Success — First and Third Places Go to Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Our students returned with significant achievements from the Graduation Projects Exhibition and Competition, organized by the Dean’s Office of Hacettepe University Faculty of Engineering and held for the 21st time this year.
In the event, where 44 projects from a total of 15 engineering programs competed, two projects from our department received awards, earning 1st and 3rd place across the Faculty. In addition, a joint project by the Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering programs participated in the exhibition in the interdisciplinary category.
The project exhibition was held on May 14, 2026, in the Faculty of Law building on the Beytepe Campus. Jury members from industry and academia, representing each department, reviewed and scored the participating projects. The jury evaluated the projects according to the criteria of “innovative aspects/originality,” “richness of R&D elements/scientific merit,” and “applicability/commercialization potential.”
The results were announced on May 15, 2026, at a well-attended award ceremony held in the Prof. Dr. Mehmet YÜKSEL Conference Hall on the Beytepe Campus. The fact that two projects from our department received first and third place across the Faculty was a particular source of pride for our department.

Drone Swarm Coordination in Simulated Disaster Environments
